Shani's String

”Like a strand of crimson thread your lips, and your speech is graceful. Like a pomegranate half is your temple behind your veil.”

So it was written in the Song of Songs by King Solomon. The meaning of the phrase “The Crimson Thread” is a guiding idea/thread that underlies a creation. Shani’s guiding thread throughout her life was giving and caring for others, for nature, for animals, and for a better world. Her charm, and the love and light that she spread, could be felt like a crimson thread everywhere she went. The nonprofit was established with the aim of memorializing our angel Shani, who passed away untimely on the dark Saturday 7.10.23, at the Nova party in the Ream parking lot. The nonprofit’s goals are to preserve Shani’s legacy and create a chain of good deeds in her memory and for the sake of the world she so loved.

The association operates to commemorate her and honor her memory in the following ways.

Establishing memorial sites.

In places that Shani loved in the Jezreel Valley, Valley of Peace, and Lower Galilee.

Renovation of a dog park in Yokneam.

In a place where Shani loved to go with her beloved dog, Alpha.

Support for animal rescue organizations.

Including purchasing food and equipment for animals.

Distribution of mobile ashtrays on beaches and in nature reserves.

To maintain environmental quality and nature conservation.

Organized volunteer beach cleanup days.

In collaboration with the Nature and Parks Authority.

Memorial Site in Re'im

In Re’im, at the place where the life of the beloved Shani Gabbay was cut short prematurely, a special memorial site has been established in her memory. This site, located at the heart of where the tragedy occurred, is intended to provide all of Shani’s loved ones – family, friends, and community – an intimate space to connect with her memory and the remarkable story embedded in her short yet so meaningful life.

The design of the site was inspired by Shani’s captivating and unique personality. Each element was chosen with care and intention to reflect the way she touched the lives of so many around her. We invite all those who knew and loved Shani to visit the site, dwell in the presence of their memories, and cherish her legacy.

The family and friends find solace in knowing that Shani’s generous and noble spirit will continue to illuminate and influence through this memorial site. It is a place where her memory can be kept alive and vibrant, and from which we can all draw strength and comfort.

We hope that this memorial site will serve as an eternal testament to Shani’s extraordinary life, and remind us all to live our lives with the full energy, compassion, and courage, just as she did. May her memory be a blessing.
